Fire Safety Workshop

Course identification, length and regulatory drivers: The following is the standard course outline to conduct a fire workshop class, in accordance with 8, CCR 6151(g).

Class length: 1 Hour (.5 hour classroom, .5 hour fire demo)

Attendance prerequisites: none

Target audience: Employees who may use a fire extinguisher.

Training, location space & equipment requirements: Classroom with TV, VCR, PowerPoint Projector, laptop and backdrop. Equipment can be provided by Du-All Safety. Outside area 40' in diameter for a fire-pan and live fire to be set and extinguished. Client fire extinguishers will be used. Du-All Safety can provide fire extinguishers at an additional charge.

Learning objectives: To understand the basic fire chemistry, how to properly contain and extinguish fires.

Reference and instruction materials: Class syllabus and handouts.

Evaluation instrument(s): Standard evaluation form & 10 question test (optional)

Refresher frequency: Annually
