Forklift Certification Course Outline

Course identification, length and regulatory drivers: The course meets or exceeds all Cal/OSHA and Fed/OSHA standards and requirements for powered industrial trucks (forklift, manlift, and sizzorlift) training. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate indicating that they have been trained in the 8 CCR 3664 safety requirements.

Class length: The classroom portion is 3.5 hours in length. Hands on proficiency training is about 10-15 minutes per person.

Attendance prerequisites: None

Target audience: Employees who drive Forklifts or supervisors who direct employees who drive Forklifts.

Training, location space & equipment requirements: Classroom with TV, VCR, PowerPoint projector, laptop and backdrop. This equipment can be provided by Du-All Safety. Hands-on proficiency testing is available after the class for on-site classes. Approximate hands-on proficiency training time with each employee on the lift is 10-15 minutes.

Learning objectives: To safely operate "powered" industrial trucks (Forklifts).

Reference and instruction materials: Class cost includes all course material, individual class workbooks and certificates.

Evaluation instrument(s): Standard class evaluation form and 10 question test (optional)

Refresher training frequency: Every 3, years or immediately if there is an accident.
