About Us

We offer comprehensive drug & alcohol testing services to companies anywhere in the U. S. A simple phone call to our office at (510) 651-8289 will begin a procedure that will have your organization set up to perform testing in just a few days time; faster in an emergency. From creating your in-house policy statement, which is essential to bring you into legal compliance, to the establishment of the systems and procedures and the selection of your drug collection sites, we can help you to make the most efficient cost and operational decisions. Remember that in 1999 almost 15 million Americans age 12 or older regularly used illicit drugs. This is not a problem that you can ignore. Act now by calling us.

OFF-SITE TESTING

For conventional pre-employment testing you will be assigned to a site that meets your needs. They will be provided with special pre-coded forms. You can elect either a 9 panel EMIT w/CG-Mass Spectrometry verification or the Immunoassay method used in the DOT protocol (the latter is now recommended.) The site does the collection and sends the results to the assigned Lab. The Lab's report comes to Du-All Safety and is forwarded by fax to you. Report turnaround time is approximately 24 hrs.

Alternately using the DOT Protocol the client is assigned to a specific collection point(s) to serve their needs. A NIDA approved screen complete with Chain of Custody and Medical Office Review is conducted using the two-sample method. Exact DOT specifications for collection, random testing, reporting, and records retention are followed. We provide special services related to random testing and the grouping of smaller clients into their Consortiums. Year-end compliance reports are provided to all clients.

Optionally DOT Look-a-like is similar to the DOT level but set up for non-mandated employees where the employer wants to follow that regimen. Caution must be exercised that this test does not run afoul of local ordinances. If permissible in your area, this is a better alternative than conventional testing for protection against nuisance suits, and one that is likely to produce better long-term results. Both the Chain-of-custody and the Medical Officer Review protocols are used. There is a slight cost premium for this service versus pre-employment testing.

Self Testing Methods

We currently offer our clients nine separate self-testing mediums to test both for drugs and for alcohol. For exact information on these mediums please call (510) 651-8289. These devices are usually substantially less expensive than conventional testing, and they can be used as a precursor test to determine if a full screen should be requested. However, they do NOT meet the requirements of the DOT mandated program, and can't be used in lieu of the lab testing protocol.Since in excess of 66% of all for-cause testing produces a negative result, the use of the precursor method can save you large sums of money in testing costs and loss of services while the employee is away for testing. Self-testing is not for all clients. However, if you are motivated to reduce costs and to keep your employees on site to reduce labor expenses, self-testing is a viable and very accurate alternative. It is easy to set up and easy to use!Summary:Whether on-site or via a nationally certified laboratory, we provide a variety of drug testing options. Our database of collector locations and device vendors assures convenience as well as reliability. For mandated subjects we provide year-end summary reports on the scope and results of the tests given to that group during the year. We provide both single-source accountability and absolute reliability that can handle your needs anywhere in the Country. We can also provide products and services related to drug and alcohol testing. Let us provide training manual, assistance in setting up your original policy statement, training devices for self-training mandated "for-cause" supervisors, and in consultation to help you set up both a drug free workplace program, and your drug testing program that meets all legal requirements.Call (510) 651-8289 when you want to set up your drug/alcohol or physical testing program.
