Below is a sample of the development phases for an Injury and Illness Prevention
Program.
The development and implementation of an Injury and Illness Prevention Program
(IIPP) by Du-All Safety according to the phases set forth below:
Program Phases:
A. The IIPP will be developed in eight (8) stages.
- Conduct hazard assessment and initial site inspection report.
- Preparation of first IIPP draft.
- Review with safety coordinators as a group.
- Walkthrough with each safety coordinator individually in their area.
- Develop area specific safety rules (COSP's), Periodic Safety Inspection
forms, and produce program revisions.
- Provide all supplements (recordkeeping system, safety
suggestion boxes, postings, employee orientation
materials, forms, etc.
- Safety Coordinator and Supervisor training (one class).
- Employee training (one class).
Additional Services Available Upon Client's Request:
- Employee training (hourly rate).
- Protective & emergency equipment, et al, in place.
B. Program development is based upon a thorough, site-specific
inspection of the Client's location.
C. One master IIPP will be prepared for management.
D. Each department or Safety Coordinator will be provided with her or
his own copy of the portions of the safety program germane to that
department.
E. Client will be given a list of all equipment, signage and other items
necessary to bring Client into compliance with the law, all of which
can be provided by Du-All Safety .
F. Du-All Safety consultants will be available, via telephone, to assist
Client with any questions or problems associated with the IIPP.
